SHANNON

'It isn't fair,' he said,
The boy now also dead,
'It isn't fair; she didn't deserve it.'
And he rocked in his grief,
His soul yet in prayer.

'It can't be true,' I said,
When I heard of his death,
And my soul cried to God,
'It can't be true, he didn't deserve it.'

Then God heard my prayer
And touched me with mercy.
'It's truly fair,' He said,
'For now they are in my care.'
